As if we needed any more evidence of how much anti-Semitism there is in Sweden, a Swedish trade union has invited ‘Palestinian’ terrorist Leila Khaled (who tried and failed to hijack an El Al flight from Amsterdam to New York in 1970) to speak at its annual May Day event on Sunday.
A Swedish trade union has invited convicted Arab terrorist hijacker Leila Khaled to speak at its upcoming May Day celebration.
A post on the SAC-Syndikalisterna Facebook page proudly announces that “Palestinian freedom fighter Leila Khaled” will be one of the speakers at the Stockholm LS of SAC – Syndikalisterna celebration, set for May 1.
Blame the Brits for this one. After the hijacking was foiled, the plane landed in London and Khaled was turned over to the British authorities (her partner was killed). The Brits should have locked her up for life, but they didn’t.
The poster included the words: “He is 53 and she is nine. Is this the kind of wedding we want to see in Sweden?”
Civil Liberty –A Swedish politician has been found not guilty of agitation against an ethnic group (Muslims) by a jury in Malmo in southern Sweden after he produced a poster depicting a naked Muhammad with his nine-year-old wife, Aisha.
Carl P Herslow, the leader of a small populist regional party in the Scania province, admitted producing the poster but said the aim of the poster was to encourage debate about Islam’s compatibility with democracy and equality, rather than insult Muslims.
After deliberating for less than an hour, the Malmo jury, which are only used in Sweden for freedom of speech cases, told the court that the courageous politician was not guilty of agitation against Muslims.
About 30% of Malmo’s inhabitants are of foreign origin, predominantly Muslim, and even without counting second generation immigrants, this puts Malmo as the Swedish city with the most immigrants per capita.
Sweden’s royal family has been rocked by a new scandal which has exposed the hidden Nazi past of the Queen’s father.
The latest revelations concern Walther Sommerlath, the late father of Sweden’s German-born Queen Silvia. He has been unmasked by an investigative television documentary as a Nazi party member who grew rich during the Second World War running an armaments factory that had been stolen from its Jewish owners.
The disturbing revelations, made by Sweden’s Kalla fakta (Cold facts) TV programme, directly contradict 67-year-old Queen Silvia’s claims earlier this year that her father was not “politically active” and that the factory he ran produced toy trains, hairdryers and parts for civilian gas masks. She also denied he had taken over the factory from its Jewish owners.
However, documents unearthed by Kalla facta in Berlin and South America show that Walther Sommerlath joined the Nazi party in Brazil in 1934 – only a year after Hitler took power.
They showed that he returned to Germany shortly before the Second World War broke out in 1939 and took over a previously Jewish-owned Berlin factory that had been “Aryanised” by the Nazis.
Under Sommerlath’s ownership, the plant produced tank parts, anti-aircraft guns and other items vital to the Nazi war effort.
When Silvia Sommerlath married Sweden’s King Carl Gustav in 1976, Walther Sommerlath denied he had ever been a Nazi party member. A Swedish newspaper first revealed the fact in 2003, but the Queen flatly refused to respond to the disclosure at the time. She spoke for the first time about the subject in July this year, saying that although he joined the Nazi party, her father was neither politically active nor a soldier.
She has so far refused to answer questions concerning the latest disclosures about her father.
Her brother Ralf told Sweden’s Expressen newspaper in a recent interview that the Queen was “terribly upset” by the documentary, which he dismissed as “lies and slander”.
A statement released by Sweden’s royal palace said: “The Queen has no reason to comment on the content of the programme,” adding, “Of course, the Queen is sorry about her father becoming a member of the Nazi party. She first knew about his membership in adulthood. She never had the opportunity to discuss this with her father.”

Sweden Democrat fears Islamic revolution
The Local/thanks to Mullah
“It can happen really fast,” said Sweden Democrat party secretary Björn Söder to the TT news agency.
- Four of ten prepared to vote tactically: survey (14 Sep 10)
- Party leaders vow not to work with far-right (13 Sep 10)
- Local Sweden Democrat: ‘ban’ practicing Muslims (11 Sep 10)
Söder is number two behind party leader Jimmie Åkesson on the Sweden Democrat party list. As party secretary, his role is to stake out the party’s line on key issues.
The Iranian revolution came up as Söder was explaining statements made by Sweden Democrat international secretary Kent Ekeroth, who could also find himself with a seat in the Riksdag following Sunday’s vote.
Ekeroth said previously that “Sweden and western countries are at risk of going out with a whimper” because of the influence of Islam, drawing a connection to 1400 years of Muslim aggression.
Good News Update:
STOCKHOLM (AP) — Polls in Sweden show a small anti-immigration party is likely to enter Parliament for the first time in elections Sunday, despite attempts by vuvuzela-blowing protesters to disrupt the nationalist group’s campaign rallies.
Nor did Ekeroth see any real distinction between ordinary Muslims and militant Islamists.
“I think that he brings up a very timely problem and as I see it, Islamification is a question of destiny for the entire western wold,” Söder told TT.
According to Söder, all Muslims are “bearers of an ideology”.
“It’s a political ideology disguised as religion. And I think that it’s a very appropriate subject to address, otherwise we’ll be facing the same problem that Iran did in 1979. It can happen really fast.”
Söder explained his argument by pointing out that the socialists made common cause with the Islamists to overthrow the shah in Iran.
“But when the Islamists came to power, they wiped out the socialists too. And I’m saying that if we don’t take the Islamification that’s taking place in western Europe right now seriously, maybe history will repeat itself,” he said.
When asked to clarify whether he thought an Islamic revolution was possible in Sweden and other western countries, Söder answered in the affirmative.
“Yes, Sweden is being Islamified right now. We’ve taken up countless examples of how Sweden is adapting to Muslim demands and we’re seeing how mosques are popping up like mushrooms from the ground in Sweden and all over Europe. It’s not necessarily the case that we’ll all become Muslims, but that we will have to obey Sharia,” Söder said.
“Through Muslim immigration and rapid propagation, as well as through Turkey’s membership in the EU, Europe can become dominated by Muslims.”
The theory of a so-called “Eurabia” has been roundly rejected by scholars of Islam, who compare it to anti-Semitic views of an international Jewish conspiracy.
But Söder claims his view isn’t simply a conspiracy theory, and goes on to lament what he sees as Swedish culture’s weakened ability to keep Muslim influences out.
“Unfortunately, it’s been weakened through several decades of ridicule and belittling, which means that its very marginalized and threatened,” he said.
When she first arrived in Sweden after her rescue from a Nazi concentration camp, Judith Popinski was treated with great kindness.
She raised a family in the city of Malmo, and for the next six decades lived happily in her adopted homeland – until last year.
“I never thought I would see this hatred again in my lifetime, not in Sweden anyway,” Mrs Popinski told The Sunday Telegraph.
“This new hatred comes from Muslim immigrants. The Jewish people are afraid now.”
Malmo’s Jews, however, do not just point the finger at bigoted Muslims and their fellow racists in the country’s Neo-Nazi fringe. They also accuse Ilmar Reepalu, the Left-wing mayor who has been in power for 15 years, of failing to protect them.
Mr Reepalu, who is blamed for lax policing, is at the centre of a growing controversy for saying that what the Jews perceive as naked anti-Semitism is in fact just a sad, but understandable consequence of Israeli policy in the Middle East.
While his views are far from unusual on the European liberal-left, which is often accused of a pro-Palestinian bias, his Jewish critics say they encourage young Muslim hotheads to abuse and harass them.
The future looks so bleak that by one estimate, around 30 Jewish families have already left for Stockholm, England or Israel, and more are preparing to go.
With its young people planning new lives elsewhere, the remaining Jewish households, many of whom are made up of Holocaust survivors and their descendants, fear they will soon be gone altogether. Mrs Popinski, an 86-year-old widow, said she has even encountered hostility when invited to talk about the Holocaust in schools.
“Muslim schoolchildren often ignore me now when I talk about my experiences in the camps,” she said. “It is because of what their parents tell them about Jews. The hatreds of the Middle East have come to Malmo. Schools in Muslim areas of the city simply won’t invite Holocaust survivors to speak any more.”
Hate crimes, mainly directed against Jews, doubled last year with Malmo’s police recording 79 incidents and admitting that far more probably went unreported. As of yet, no direct attacks on people have been recorded but many Jews believe it is only a matter of time in the current climate.
The city’s synagogue has guards and rocket-proof glass in the windows, while the Jewish kindergarten can only be reached through thick steel security doors.
It is a far cry from the city Mrs Popinski arrived in 65 years ago, half-dead from starvation and typhus.
At Auschwitz she had been separated from her Polish family, all of whom were murdered. She escaped the gas chambers after being sent as a slave labourer. Then she was moved to a womens’ concentration camp, Ravensbrück, from where she was then evacuated in a release deal negotiated between the Swedish Red Cross and senior Nazis, who were by then trying to save their own lives.
After the war, just as liberal Sweden took in Jews who survived the Holocaust as a humanitarian act, it also took in new waves of refugees from tyranny and conflicts in the Middle East. Muslims are now estimated to make up about a fifth of Malmo’s population of nearly 300,000.
“This new hatred from a group 40,000-strong is focused on a small group of Jews,” Mrs Popinski said, speaking in a sitting room filled with paintings and Persian carpets.
“Some Swedish politicians are letting them do it, including the mayor. Of course the Muslims have more votes than the Jews.”
The worst incident was last year during Israel’s brief war in Gaza, when a small demonstration in favour of Israel was attacked by a screaming mob of Arabs and Swedish leftists, who threw bottles and firecrackers as the police looked on.
“I haven’t seen hatred like that for decades,” Mrs Popinski said. “It reminded me of what I saw in my youth. Jews feel vulnerable here now.”
The problem is becoming an embarrassment for the Social Democrats, the mayor’s party.
A Stockholm court Monday ordered the Public Employment Service to pay 50,000 kronor ($6,700) in damages to an immigrant from Bosnia who lost his when he was kicked out of the program.
Citing his faith, the man had refused to shake hands with a woman when he was interviewing for an internship. The agency said his behavior was part of the reason he didn’t get the position, and decided to exclude him from the program.
The court ruled that the man was discriminated against because of his religion. It wasn’t immediately clear whether the ruling would be appealed.

A Muslim rape epidemic in Sweden has ensured that it now tops the list as the European country with the most rapes per capita — 46 incidents per 100,000 residents.
Sweden’s oil dependency may be another factor in this change. In 1978, Sweden was given the opportunity of a barter deal with Norway whereby the Swedish state would buy out vehicle manufacturer Volvo and exchange a part of its shareholding in the company for a stake in Norway’s recently discovered offshore oil reserves. For a variety of reasons the agreement was never ratified, and Sweden was left without any oil resources of its own. The pronounced shift in Sweden’s Middle East stance largely coincides with the country’s increasing dependence on oil to fuel its economy and its ever-larger oil bill.

Sweden is no big fan of the Jews and uses Israel as a “polite way of being anti-Semitic. Do not forget, however, that Sweden was neutral in World War 2 and grew wealthy selling war materiel to Hitler. Somehow they could not come around to choosing sides between the allies and the Nazis. Sweden has taken the “Blood Libel” concept and transferred it from all the Jews to just the Israeli Jews.
Most Swedish political figures positioned themselves between strongly condemning Israel while mildly criticizing Hamas‘ actions on the one hand and totally supporting Hamas and its administration in Gaza on the other.
A new report from Statistics Sweden (Statistiska Centralbyrån, SCB) reveals there are around 1.6 million foreigners currently residing in the country from a total population of 9.3 million.
Annika Klinterfeldt, SCB population analyst told the numbers are not surprising, with the total now surpassing 17 percent and edging ever closer to the 20 percent mark.
“If we look at the trend over the last 50 years we can see growth in number of between 0.1-0.2 percent every year.
“Back in 1960, foreigners or those with two foreign-born parents made up four percent of the population. It’s been quite high for the last few years and we expect it to continue,” she added.

Swedish lesbians suck sperm banks dry
Sweden’s fertility clinics are racking up a serious backlog of people waiting for artificial insemination, due in part to a “spike” in demand from lesbian couples for vital supplies of man juice. So bad have things got that prospective customers at Sahlgrenska University Hospital in Gothenburg are now forced to wait 18 months for treatment. The problem, the Göteborgs-Posten explains, is that a 2005 law change granted “female same-sex couples” the right to fertility treatment at Swedish hospitals. Previously, this privilege extended only to married women or those who were “registered heterosexual partners”. Inger Bryman, Sahlgrenska’s head of gynaecology and reproductive medicine, told the paper: “We had estimated an increase of around 25 couples per year after the law change. Now there are 90 couples in line.” Sweden’s lesbians are not the sole cause of the sperm drought. Swedish law allows kids to learn their biological father’s identity once they turn 18. This hasn’t done much to encourage donors. The main reason, though, is apparently duff sperm – “either related to deterioration while being frozen or to medical conditions”. The upshot of the Swedish sperm crisis is that couples are increasingly looking abroad for their impregnations, principally to Denmark and Finland.
