I’ve never seen someone arrested and extradited for a misdemeanor violation of an order of protection for conduct out of state// Really?

March 23, 2013
It doesn’t have to be a celebrity these days. Feminism is so rampant that any woman can do it. Guys get extradited by cops listening to psychos. It really needs to stop. Trump’s daughter is one thing, but our state will go bankrupt if the police continue this over-extension of power.

(NYPost) He just wants to be Mr. Ivanka Trump.
“I want to be her husband,” the homeless accused stalker of The Donald’s brainy, beautiful daughter has told cops, prosecutors revealed tonight.
“If she would just call me it would be so much easier,” John Enabnit, 32, said when he was arrested March 7 for allegedly pretending to be a reporter to get near the Trump heiress at a Miami-area golf tournament.
Then he added, “They didn’t tell me to stay away from her in Florida, in Europe, or on Space Ship Number One,” prosecutors told a Manhattan Criminal Court judge tonight in asking successfully for a hike in the persistent suitor’s bail.
Enabnit was arraigned on misdemeanor criminal contempt charges and ordered held in lieu of $40,000 bail.
He had been arrested in February but freed then on $5,000 bail after crashing Trump’s fragrance line launch at Macy’s and repeatedly asking for her at Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue and at the Park Avenue apartment she shares with her wealthy, handsome, real estate developing actual hubby, Jared Kushner, owner of The New York Observer.
Soon as he was sprung on bail, he hopped a bus to Miami so he could pursue Trump in the VIP area of the famed “Blue Monster” golf course, prosecutors said. “The defendant has engaged in an aggressive course of action against the complainant in this case,” assistant district attorney Mary Vitale said in asking for higher bail.

Enabnit’s court appointed lawyer Rebecca Kavanaugh of the Legal Aid Society, said Enabnit denies making the statements cops say he did.
I’ve never seen someone arrested and extradited for a misdemeanor violation of an order of protection for conduct out of state,” Kavanaugh told reporters afterward. “Clearly, it’s because Ivanka Trump is Ivanka Trump.” Enabnit is due back in court on Tuesday.

That said kudos to the high class ass he stalked.

More stupidity from the courts concerning #CyberStalking

April 25, 2012
Media_httpuploadwikim_fhhwj

As (Volokh) noted last year, a federal prosecutor indicted a man for his campaign of insulting Twitter messages about a Buddhist religious leader, and a federal judge then dismissed the indictment on First Amendment grounds.
Some of the Twitter posts might have been seen as threatening, but the government’s theory wasn’t that they were threatening, but that they where posted “with the intent to harass and cause substantial emotional distress to” the religious leader, and actual caused such distress, in violation of the federal antistalking statute, 18 U.S.C. § 2261A. The district court correctly held that the statute was unconstitutional as applied, and left open the possibility that it might be unconstitutional on its face as well. The government appealed, but earlier this month decided to drop the appeal.
Now the Senate, rather than tightening the law to prevent its being applied to constitutionally protected speech, is considering expanding it. Section 107 of the Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2011 (which (Volokh) blogged about below, as to a different constitutionally troublesome provision) would take the existing statute and have it cover not just speech that causes substantial emotional distress, but also speech that “attempts to cause, or would be reasonably expected to cause substantial emotional distress,” so long as the speaker is intending to (among other things) “harass” the target. Anyone who

with the intent to … harass … uses the … any interactive computer service … to engage in a course of conduct that … causes, attempts to cause, or would be reasonably expected to cause substantial emotional distress to [the person or the person’s family member]

would now be committing a federal crime. If the statute were just limited to conduct and speech intended to threaten someone — which the rest of the statute does cover — there would be no constitutional problem. But trying to outlaw speech that is made “with the intent to … harass” and “would be reasonably expected to cause substantial emotional distress” often violates the First Amendment, as the federal judge rightly held in the Twitter case. It seems to me that Congress should be fixing this constitutional problem rather than expanding it.

This is fascism. plain and simple. proving a person has intent to upset another person is no reason to take their free expression away. I have experience with this kind of legal abuse. I’m not allowed to tell you about it apparently… or rather I’d rather not find out how stupid the legal system is again.

Media Covers Up Arab Stalker and Stabber

August 13, 2010
Elias Abuelazam, the serial stabber, is one of ours!…
 Well, kind of….

The BBC online, known for slanting its coverage against Israel, titled its story “Israeli man held in airport over US serial stabbings.” The story that followed describes the suspect as an “Israeli citizen” without mentioning that he is Arab.

MSNBC’s online report, “Israeli held in investigation of serial stabbings” mentioned his Israeli connection four times in the article, but never indicated that he was Arab.

NPR mentioned his Israeli connection in the body of its report, though not in its headline. It omitted his Arab ethnicity.

In contrast, ABC News identified the suspect as an Israeli-Arab in its first sentence. More often there was a lack of precision. CNN and Fox merely informed readers that he was attempting to fly to Israel.

from Camera.Org

It looks like:

Abuelazam is suspected in 20 18 stabbings (investigators have revised the number,) five of which were fatal. Most of the victims were black but there were Hispanic and white people stabbed as well.

Since most of the victims were black, law enforcement officials suspected the stabbings were related to race. But that, again, was just a theory. The police could produce a different theory now that they have a suspect.

Meanwhile our local press wasn’t asleep on the job, and dug up a few more details:

  • The real name of the character is Elias Abu El-Azam.
  • He comes from an Arab Christian family in the city of Ramle.
  • He left Israel for US as a kid and visited Israel quite frequently.
  • A few months ago he got into trouble in Israel (a fight with a friend) and left immediately.
  • People who met him describe him as a huge man with an intimidating presence.
  • His ex, Jessica, is in shock, was overwhelmed by the news.
  • While in Ramle, he staid in his mother’s house, didn’t have a permanent employment, was supported by his mom and was frequently involved in fights.
  • He has a considerable criminal record in US.
  • Er… as far as I am concerned, the US authorities are welcome to keep him.

As for the question asked by a blogger here:

Are you surprised that the suspect is an Israeli and not some idiot from a hate group that thinks they’re better than everyone else?

I would answer by another question (as Jooish tradition prescribes): why, can’t an Israeli be an idiot from a hate group?

…just in case this is brought up… Son of Sam was *adopted* into a Jewish family. Today he is a born again Christian

While much of the media reported the story fairly straight, some media sources who habitually portray Israel negatively tended to conceal the suspect’s Arab identity while emblazening his Israeli connection in their headline.
