there was an article in the New York Times where the supreme court basically said “stupid government is not unconstitutional” …and something stuck in my head about that issue. It is legal for our leaders to pass stupid laws that hurt people? and then I realized that something needs to radically change in the way we think of right and wrong. A certain legal “relativity” and prioritizing. Too much in society is left to “discression” without any means to question authority.

Without going into specifics… I thought that it was something that someone who was going to start a social net should think about. Is sexual innuendo wrong and under what correlation and relative to what and who did I invite to look at it. In other words our concepts of free thought need to rethought in a new context of online social forums.

I had a woman on MySpace object to some art I commented on her profile yesterday. Nothing new about this… I always have these problems, but this was a situation where her forum of friends are a hell of a lot more raunchy then I am. So it isn’t so much that I might of not broken a law… but rather I did not trespass the context of the community of friends she hanged out with.

Which brings me back to my point of legal relativity. It would seem that there are many issues these days that exist in a murk of grays… and we need some kind of framework to prioritize what temporal boundaries are.

I sound like a Williams Burroughs novel: but some women really do sometimes try to break off communications… often times the ladies are elite social bays… if you friend a woman it can open up a whole cluster of opportunities. I consider the loss of a man a friend… and the loss of a woman’s friendship… the loss of multiple men. On a quantitative scale… (and not a spiritual one) women are a much better connection. I spent five years working in marketing. Selling a product to a man meant selling one man. Entering into a cluster of Betty is a much better opportunity to benefit off of an immediate chain reaction of profit. On the other hand if you friend a man… there is a greater chance for a repeat business.

What’s necessary in friendship is the ability to not necessarily understand, but to accept all aspects of the person who you are trying to make friends with. Can you accept those parts of me that you can’t or refuse to understand, without it turning into a battle of the sexes?

I understand that sexuality is an issue for you with me… but I do not feel that it is sexuality that upsets you. I think you are milking this for what you can. your circle of friends have some pretty raunchy stuff… which leads me to believe that you are not asking for sensitivity… you are asking for a double standard. I can accept the part of you that isn’t playing with power issues. I do not think gender and sex has anything to do with this. I understand this perfectly well. sexuality is a red herring… you are trying to assert control. I don’t think you expect this control with other people. It is not me that is objectifying you. It is you who is dissecting me. I posted the same image on multiple accounts… many were people you know. they didn’t complain… in fact they liked it. I think you liked it too.

Did I say that I can accept all parts of you? I only asked if you could do that with me. Had this been dropped long before this, I probably could have. But in all honesty, Noah, I don’t come here to be critically analyzed or berated. You believe you know me, when you haven’t a clue. You make mass generalizations which are entirely and you attempt to lump me in with them. I don’t need it, Noah, nor do I need you. Cya!

IN CONCLUSION:

“Did I say that I can accept all parts of you? “

(1) WHICH CONTRADICTS THIS PREVIOUS STATEMENT ON YOUR DEFINITION OF FRIENDSHIP:

“What’s necessary in friendship is the ability to not necessarily understand, but to accept all aspects of the person who you are trying to make friends with. Can you accept those parts of me that you can’t or refuse to understand, without it turning into a battle of the sexes?”

BELOW THIS POINT YOU THEN DENY SAYING THAT YOU CAN’T ACCEPT ALL PARTS OF ME… THEREFOR YOUR THE ONE WHO HAS TAKEN CAUSTIC AND UNFRIENDLY ACTION BY YOUR OWN AXIUMS. I’M ENGAGING YOU LIKE A FRIEND SHOULD. IT IS CALLED DIALOGUE.

(2) WHY SHOULD I DROP THE FACT THAT YOU MAKE NO SENSE? AT VARIOUS POINTS YOU HAVE ASKED FOR ACCEPTANCE. THIS REQUEST HAS NOT BEEN STABLE… BUT IT IS HARD TO DROP SOMETHING THAT IS CONSTANTLY CHANGING.

(3)YOU WERE THE ONE WHO STARTED CRITICIZING MY POST

(4)YOU SHOULD TRY GENERALIZING A LITTLE BIT BECAUSE IT KEEPS YOUR LOGIC STABLE. YOUR ARGUMENTS FLUCTUATE SO MUCH THAT YOU DON’T LEAVE ME ANYTHING TO WORK WITH

(5)YOU MIGHT NOT NEED ME… BUT YOU SHOULD GET A SECOND OPINION SOMEWHERE ON WHAT YOUR SAYING HERE… BECAUSE I THINK A THIRD PERSON MIGHT SET YOU STRAIGHT ON THE FACT THAT YOUR NOT STABLE IN YOUR ARGUMENTS.

just ran downstairs. there was a birth control pay commercial that used the Twisted Sister song “We’re not going to take it” as it’s theme song? Had some Grrrl Punk rock group singing it. Is nothing sacred? Talk about subverting the angst of my generations fight against feminism. ack Tipper Gore strikes again. I’m not against birth control… but I just don’t want to hear the BLUE STATE voice singing my song.
