now that these Turkish ladies are in Playboy magazine… it appears the Burqa isn’t something they want to put on again. Yes… I thought of Porn. Apologies to the Mind Police.

a Muslim I can appreciate

Strict: Turkish German actress Sila Sahin says her childhood was 'restricting'(Berlin) Sila Sahin, is a 25 year old German (Turkish decent) actress living in Germany and she has really let the cat out of the bag. Sorry did I say cat, I meant something else. When she posed naked for Playboy magazine. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a prude and while I admit this isn’t something most parent’s will be happy for their daughter’s carrying out. I feel that it is a step in the right direction for Islamic women living in the West in expressing the freedom they are denied due to a certain misogynistic cult which tries to pass itself off a religion of peace. Now that somebody has taken that first step, hopefully more Islamic women will be encouraged to break the chains which hold them back from achieving their full potential.
While I am glad to see this young and very beautiful women in the news. I hope that we don’t see her name after some stupid prat decides to avenge his honour.
The irony here is that while Islamic men will bemoan this young lady for taking her clothes off, I expect the biggest group of men buying the current version to be…Islamic. via eye-on-the-world.blogspot.com
don’t be so sure… even I am impressed here
Strict: Turkish German actress Sila Sahin says her childhood was ‘restricting’
Liberating? I did it because I wanted to be free,’ said Sila Sahin of the nude Playboy photographs that offended her Turkish family

Sila Sahin, a 25-year-old Turkish German living in Berlin, had until now been regarded as a glowing example of how a modern Muslim girl should behave in a multicultural society.
A successful actress starring in German television soap opera Good Times, Bad Times, she pleased her many fans and made her Turkish family proud.
But her latest move has shocked some of those fans, and enraged those closest to her.
Posing provocatively on the cover of German Playboy magazine with one breast exposed, Sila Sahin seems to be sending a clear and deliberate message to her conservative Turkish family.
‘I did it because I wanted to be free at last,’ she said. ‘These photographs are a liberation from the restrictions of my childhood.’
Her family have, unsurprisingly, reacted with horror, and her mother has cut off all contact with the actress.
‘My mother is still angry. It will be even more difficult with my grandparents, my aunts and my uncles,’ she said on the website devoted to her television soap.
She has, however, managed to talk to her actor father, who expressed concern over the pressure she will inevitably face from those not only within the Turkish community in Germany, but from the wider Muslim community as a whole.
Ms Sahin’s declared intention was to used the controversial Playboy photoshoot as a call to action for other Turkish girls who suffer the effects of their strict backgrounds, where women’s choices are often limited, husbands are chosen for the girls and chastity closely controlled.

Her message to these girls? ‘For too long I tried to do everything right,’ she says. ‘I want these photos to show young Turkish women it’s okay for you to live however you choose.’
‘Many of my countrymen think it’s great that I can be so free. With the shoot I hoped to say to them that we do not necessarily have to live under these rules given to us.

In what is undeniably a groundbreaking move, Ms Sahin is the first Turkish woman ever to strip for the cover of Playboy.
Indeed, in the 12-page article that accompanies the revealing photographs, Ms Sahin says she feels ‘like Che Guevara’, adding that the semi-naked photoshoot was a bid to express her freedom.
‘My upbringing was conservative,’ she told Playboy. ‘I was always told, you must not go out, you must not make yourself look so attractive, you mustn’t have male friends.

‘I have always abided by what men say. As a result I developed an extreme desire for freedom. I feel like Che Guevara. I have to do everything I want, otherwise I feel like I may as well be dead.’
And according to Ms Sahin, her friends have been impressed by the magazine spread. ‘They admire my courage,’ she says.
But while her friends and some fans may be impressed, Ms Sahin’s family have expressed their disappointment.
And despite her outward conviction, Ms Sahin was devastated her actions should be met with such a harsh response.
In an ill-advised move, Ms Sahin only informed her parents of her Playboy spread via an interview on German television channel RTL, just one day before the nude photographs were to be published.
In an impassioned interview, as she displayed the revealing photographs, she pleaded with her mother and father to understand the reasons behind her decision to pose naked.
The emotional actress begged for clemency from her family.
‘I hope you can forgive me, she said.
‘Please let me come home.’

Two Helen Thomas Farces: What She Says and How She’s Ridiculed

April 1, 2011

It’s amazing how bad the public discussion of issues is nowadays. Here’s a tiny example. Helen Thomas was fired for her anti-Jewish statements and was recently interviewed in Playboy where she made more such remarks that are–correctly–being interpreted as antisemitic.

But why does Thomas hate Israel so much, a hatred that spills over into antisemitism? I haven’t seen a single person who’s gotten it right. She’s no neo-Nazi or nut case. Thomas is of Lebanese descent, albeit Christian, and basically views herself on this issue at least as an Arab.  The important factor is not her eccentricity but her typicality.
What Thomas is doing, then, and has done for many years, is to express ideas common in the Arabic-speaking world which are becoming increasingly common in the West.

Patty Herst and the Herst Corporation that fired Helen Thomas….

That’s why she’s significant and that’s where she’s coming from. Her blend of anti-Zionism and antisemitism–using traditional anti-Jewish themes, sometimes applied to Israel and at times to all Jews–is just like what exists in a high percentage of households in the Arabic-speaking and Muslim-majority worlds.

We’re not talking about a funny old lady but about a worldview held by millions of people in a lot of countries, by revolutionary Islamists and terrorists, and by a growing number of people on Western college campuses and in elite circles. This is not some joke but rather a “craziness” that kills and shapes the fate of whole nations and continents.

Thomas has a long history of anti-Israel rhetoric at White House press briefings. In 2006, Thomas posed a question to then-Press Secretary Tony Snow that suggested the United States supports “collective punishment for Lebanon and Palestine.”

Snow responded, “Well, thank you for the Hezbollah view.”

…Helen Thomas
on being anti-Semitic:
Baloney!

Our Torah commentators teach us that in biblical days, these skin discolorations and abnormalities were a physical manifestation of a spiritual problem. The Kohain was well trained in looking at the skin and knowing what the person did wrong to merit such scabs. Almost always, these skin conditions were a result of Lashon Harah- gossip, slander, evil talk, using our communication skills for ill ends.
Enter Helen Thomas, long time journalist and reporter for United Press International (UPI), who had the distinction of not only sitting in the front row at every US Presidential news conference for decades, but also of being given the privilege of asking the first question following the President’s remarks. Perhaps Helen Thomas has worn long sleeves over the years, to cover the results of her private gossip about Jews as well as her recent public slanderous and outrageous remarks about Israel, Jews and Zionism.

yes I am aware of the irony of using Roald Dahl’s character

Helen Thomas to Playboy: Let Me Clarify: Jews Control White House, Congress, Financial Markets

March 21, 2011

The wicked witch of Beirut nowadays talks to anyone who would listen. Literally, anyone.
On a side note, Playboy must be in REAL need these days, to engage a beauty of Helen Thomas’ caliber.

(Haaretz) Helen Thomas, former dean of the White House Press Corps, reportedly told Playboy in an interview for their April issue that Jews have power over the White House and Congress, who are in the pockets of the Israeli lobbies.
Thomas left her post at the White House after she publicly made anti-Israel comments last May, telling the Jews they should “get the hell out of Palestine.”
The former reporter told Playboy that the Israeli lobbies “are funded by wealthy supporters, including those from Hollywood. Same thing with the financial markets. There’s total control.”
When asked about her comments that ultimately cost her her job, Thomas told Playboy that “everybody knows my feelings about the Palestinians,” adding “sure, the Israelis have a right to exist—but where they were born, not to come and take someone else’s home. I’ve had it up to here with the violations against the Palestinians. Why shouldn’t I say it? I knew exactly what I was doing—I was going for broke. I had reached the point of no return. You finally get fed up.”
Thomas also clarified that when she said the Jews should go back to Poland,Germany and America, that she was not referring to the concentration camps, but rather that “they should stay where they are because they’re not being persecuted—not since World War II, not since 1945.”
However, when asked about the Holocaust, Thomas told the magazine that “there’s nothing wrong with remembering it [the Holocaust], but why do we have to constantly remember? We’re not at fault.”
She then launched into criticism of Israel and its alleged oppression of the Palestinians, accusing the Jews of lacking introspection.
“Do the Jews ever look at themselves?” asked Thomas, “why are they always right? Because they have been oppressed throughout history, I know. And they have this persecution. That’s true, but they shouldn’t use that to dominate.”
The former reporter told Playboy that she is not anti-Jewish, just anti – Israel, saying she thinks Jews are wonderful people. :I’m not anti-Jewish,” clarified Thomas, “I’m anti-Zionist. I am anti Israel taking what doesn’t belong to it. If you have a home and you’re kicked out of that home, you don’t come and kick someone else out.”

sigh

Helen Thomas to Playboy: Let Me Clarify:
Jews Control White House,
Congress, Financial Markets

…as being just as ugly inside as she is on the outside:

Of course I don’t condone any violence against anyone. But who wouldn’t fight for their country? What would any American do if their land was being taken? Remember Pearl Harbor. The Palestinian violence is to protect what little remains of Palestine. The suicide bombers act out of despair and desperation. Three generations of Palestinians have been forced out of their homes – by Israelis – and into refugee camps.”

Yes, she really compares terrorists blowing up an ice cream parlor filled with kids to Americans fighting in the Pacific in World War II.
And that’s only a tiny part of this interview that exposes Thomas as a thoroughly despicable human being, and those who defend her as being hypocrites of the highest order.

Veteran reporter Helen Thomas turned up in Playboy magazine this month (fully clothed, don’t worry) as part of her ongoing anti-Semitic publicity tour.
The former “dean” of the White House Press Corps sat down for an interview (link is to the Sun Herald’s summary) about her recent controversy. First she weighed in on the aftermath of her remarks about Israel last May (“I went into self-imposed house arrest”) and her views on the situation in the Palestinian territories (“the Palestinians have been shortchanged in every way”). But then the interview took an uglier turn.
“Of course I don’t condone any violence against anyone,” said Thomas, when asked about Palestinian terrorism against the Israelis. “But who wouldn’t fight for their country? What would any American do if their land was being taken? Remember Pearl Harbor. The Palestinian violence is to protect what little remains of Palestine. The suicide bombers act out of despair and desperation.”
Thomas also took a shot at Holocaust-remembrance programs, insisting that Jews exploited the memory in order to persecute Palestinians. “There’s nothing wrong with remembering [the Holocaust], but why do we have to constantly remember? We’re not at fault,” said Thomas, adding, “Do the Jews ever look at themselves? Why are they always right? Because they have been oppressed throughout history, I know. And they have this persecution. That’s true, but they shouldn’t use that to dominate.”
And in case there’s anyone out there who’s still unsure about Thomas’s true feelings toward the Jewish people, she clarified them later in the interview.
“[The Jews are] using their power, and they have power in every direction,” she said. “Power over the White House, power over Congress. … Everybody is in the pocket of the Israeli lobbies, which are funded by wealthy supporters, including those from Hollywood.  Same thing with the financial markets. There’s total control.”
Thomas then looked at the interviewer and asked, “You don’t deny that. You’re Jewish, aren’t you?”
The 90-year-old reporter’s worldview, in fact, seems to be clouded with an obsession over who is a Jew. When asked about her views on Congress, Thomas simply listed off the names of Jewish lawmakers and intoned that they would be anti-Arab. “Do you think [Chuck] Schumer and [Rep. Ileana Ros-] Lehtinen — whatever her name is — in Florida are going to be pro-Arab?” she asked. “No. But they’re going to be very influential. Eric Cantor, the majority leader of the Republicans, do you think he’s going to be for the Arabs? Hell no! I’m telling you, you cannot get 330 votes in Congress for anything that’s pro-Arab. Nothing.”
Thomas’s comments are indicative of an extremely disturbed and damaged person. But even as she shoots off textbook anti-Semitic canards, she vigorously denies that she’s anti-Jewish.
“I think they’re wonderful people,” she says of the Jews. “They had to have the most depth. They were leaders in civil rights. They’ve always had the heart for others but not for Arabs, for some reason. I’m not anti-Jewish; I’m anti-Zionist.”
Not everyone who calls himself an anti-Zionist is anti-Semitic. But there are many, many anti-Semites, like Thomas, who hide behind the façade of anti-Zionism. And the fact that she was able to do this while in the spotlight for so many years makes one worry for the state of the media.

Playboy model panics and tries to open door to NJ-bound plane mid-air

November 14, 2010
thank goodness for Supermodels give us something to talk about…

tiffany livingston

A buxom Playboy centerfold tried to bust out — midair — from a jet yesterday amid a bad case of high anxiety.
Sexy 21-year-old model Tiffany Livingston was aboard JetBlue Flight 522 from Orlando, Fla., to Newark when she bolted from her seat and tried to open the door of the plane, a law-enforcement official said.
“She said she’s gone through this before, but never this bad, and didn’t have . . . her medication,” one source said.
Livingston was detained and placed in federal custody, with charges pending, last night.
Last year, Livingston, a 5-foot-6 brunette from Merrimac, RI, was featured as the centerfold for the debut edition of VIP, the Singapore version of Playboy, in which she was described as “not just another pretty face.
“Tiffany boasts the immaculate poise of a mature model wrapped with a bubbly demeanor,” the profile said.
Her agent did not return a call seeking comment.

the gorgeous ones in my opinion always seem to be crazy. At least she isn’t in Israel freeing Chickens from their cages like Pamela Anderson
