HYPOCRITES OF EUROPE: France is Using It’s Own Version of The US PRISM Spy Program

July 5, 2013
(LIDFrançois Hollande said US should stop spying. Le Monde revealed French DGSE use similar snooping means (Reuters)

The French Government has been very angry at the the United States because of the NSA Revelations. Perhaps a bit too angry. The French Newspaper, Le Monde has reported that the General Directorate for External Security does the same kind of data collection as the American National Security Agency’s PRISM but does so without clear legal authority. The system is run with “complete discretion, at the margins of legality and outside all serious control,” the newspaper said, describing it as “a-legal.” Which means unlike the US program there is no court approval. The French Database is available to the various police and security agencies of France, the newspaper reported, and the data is stored for an indeterminate period. The main interest of the agency, the paper said, is to trace who is talking to whom, when and from where and for how long, rather than in listening in to random conversations. Apparently just like the PRISM also record data from large American networks like Google and Facebook according to Le Monde.

Connections inside France and between France and other countries are all monitored, Le Monde reports. The paper alleges the data is being stored on three basement floors of the DGSE building in Paris. The secret service is the French equivalent of Britain’s MI6.

The operation is designed, say experts, to uncover terrorist cells. But the scale of it means that “anyone can be spied on, any time”, Le Monde says.

According to the paper, French officials privately claim the that there was a difference between data collection in the name of security while French officials have been collecting data about American citizens they do not spy on the American Embassy in France (American officials are skeptical of those reassurances, and have pointed out that France has an aggressive and amply financed espionage system of its own).

What makes this revelation particularly hypocritical is just yesterday the French Interior Minister Manuel Valls was the guest of honor at the US Embassy’s 4th of July party, and rewarded the hospitality by making a speech bashing his host’s for the NSA spying program, all the while his country was running a similar program.

Femen March Topless in Muslim Area of Paris. Not brave, STUPID

September 20, 2012

…and that is exactly the strawman the Muslims want. They see the alternative to their Jihad to be this. Might be funny to watch as an outsider, but denying gender and sexual orientation didn’t work for the US state dept when they said it wouldn’t matter and sent Ambassador Stevens. There are real sexual boundaries that have nothing to do with the culture and it is a mistake to think it is unique to any group. This feminist polarity is as bad as Islam.
(mfs the other news) Femen March Topless in Muslim Area of Paris to Celebrate Boot Camp Opening.HT: TundraTabloids. By Gianluca Mezzofiore.Members of the Femen radical feminist group have paraded topless through Paris to celebrate the opening of their new training centre, aimed at teaching feminists how to evade security forces. The Ukrainian women’s group marched half-naked through a predominantly Muslim neighbourhood in Paris’ 18tharrondissement with messages written on their chests including “Muslim, let’s get naked” and “Our God is a woman”. Among the activists was Inna Schevchenko, who fled to France over the summer after taking a chainsaw to a large wooden crucifix in Kiev to demonstrate her support for Russia’s Pussy riot punk collective. She said the activists wanted to “go to war against patriarchy and dictatorship”. “We’re opening the first international training centre for feminists who want to transform themselves into soldiers,” Shevchenko added. Twenty Femen members marched in high-heeled boots, skin-tight jeans and flower crowns, chanting “liberty” and “nudity”.The boot camp kicks off next week, we’ve all learned. Twenty-nine-year-old Eloise, one of the movement’s coordinators in France, explained the registration process to the free daily Metro: “If you are interested, it’s not complicated. You just have to take off your t-shirt.So, are masses, or even significant numbers, of French women ready to break free from the oppression of their clothing and join the Femen army?If you are ready for those photos now, click hereHmmmm……Ah La Belle France……”Liberté, égalité, fraternité, nudité”Read the full story here.

Jewish Woman after ‘victory’ in Custody Battle With Saudi Prince falls out Window? Police call it an ACCIDENT?

August 20, 2012

How is that for a Multicultural Hollywood ending? She was probably murdered.

(mfs-theothernews.com)’Strange’ Tragic End For Jewish Woman after ‘victory’ in Custody Battle With Saudi Prince.(YNet).Paris – The tragic story of Candice Cohen Ahnine, 35, a French Jewish woman who was in the midst of a bitter custody battle for her daughter came to a sad end last week when just a short time before she was finally set to see her daughter, she fell to her death from her Paris apartment window.

Cohen-Ahnine was involved in a custody battle with the father of her 11-year-old daughter Aya, a Saudi prince – Sattam al-Saud since 2008 when he kidnapped Aya. After years of courtroom struggles, the court ruled that Candice had a right to visit her daughter, and Candice was set to leave for Riyadh to visit Aya next month.
In January she won her first legal battle when a Paris court declared that Aya must be returned to her mother’s custody.

Investigators reportedly had been leaning towards an accident as cause of death, but reports in the French media suggested Ms Cohen-Ahnine had slipped and fallen to her death “as if she was escaping something dangerous.”

Britain’s Daily Telegraph reported. Cohen-Ahnine’s lawyer, Laurence Tarquiny-Charpentier, said the death “seemed to be some sort of accident,” and did not know whether foul play was involved. She said witnesses had been at the scene of the crime, and more information about the circumstances of the death is expected Monday. “What I can tell you is that it wasn’t a suicide,” Tarquiny-Charpentier said.
“She was a woman who was a real fighter and a very positive person, and plus, there were plans to see Aya in mid-September. That was her greatest motivation of all.” Cohen-Ahnine recently wrote a book describing her fight to “get back” her 11-year-old daughter, Aya.
She alleged that when she agreed to visit Prince Sattam with her daughter in 2008, she was immediately locked up in a Riyadh palace, and accused by authorities of being a Muslim who converted to Judaism, a crime punishable by death in Saudi Arabia.
When a maid left her door open she was able to escape to the French embassy, and return alone to France. In January, a Paris criminal court ordered Prince Sattam al-Saud to hand over custody of his daughter to her mother and provide child support of 10,000 euros a month.
But the prince reportedly dismissed the ruling, and said: “If need be, I’ll go like (Osama) bin Laden and hide in the mountains with Aya.” Nonetheless Cohen-Ahnine’s lawyer said delicate negotiations with the prince had led to improved ties, and a planned visit with Aya was due next month. Simply obtaining the visit was, “already a positive first step, because getting to open the doors to the prince’s palace was very complex, and required the work of a huge team of people,” her lawyer said.
We were so close to her goal. And we spoke on the telephone the day before she died. We were supposed to meet tomorrow to get things ready,” said Tarquiney-Charpentier. “It’s so painful, and at the same time, there is this feeling of failure.” Cohen-Ahnine and the prince met in London and their daughter was born in November 2001. Their relationship continued until 2006 when he allegedly announced he was obliged to marry a cousin, but that she could be a second wife. She refused and they separated. The prince denied ever having kidnapped the child or the mother. Reacting to the death, Jean-Claude Elfassi, co-author of Cohen-Ahnine’s book wrote in his blog on August 17: “I can only show my disgust at the slowness of the investigating judge in charge of her case, who after three years of investigating never delivered an arrest warrant for Prince Sattam al-Saud,” wrote Elfassi. He added: “Fate has been cruel to her (Cohen-Ahnine). When they parted she promised her daughter” ‘We will meet again, I’ll come get you, I’ll never leave you.’”Read the full story here.

Andy Choudary Busted in France

April 10, 2011

Anjem Choudary banned in FranceHere’s the Sky News report on Anjem Choudary as promised earlier by Nick. It seems that Andy has got himself into a spot of bother with the Parisian gendarmes for protesting the implementation of the burqa ban:

Radical Cleric’s ‘Outrage’ Over French Ban
The radical cleric Anjem Choudary has been permanently banned from entering France, Sky News has learned.
The former head of the now outlawed group Islam4UK was stopped with a coach load of his followers as he arrived in the French port of Calais this afternoon.
He had been heading to Paris for a demonstration against the French Government’s controversial decision to ban women from wearing the burka.
The legislation outlawing the full Islamic face veil comes into effect on Monday.
Mr Choudary was detained briefly by French border officials, who handed him a legal notice informing him that the Minister of Interior had decided to deny him entry into France on a permanent basis.
The document cites his membership of the banned groups Islam4UK and Al-Muhajiroun, which he jointly led with the Cleric Omar Bakri Mohammed.
Bakri Mohammed, an extremist preacher originally from Syria, was banned from re-entering the UK, after he travelled to Lebanon in 2005.
Mr Choudary has also caused controversy with remarks he has made in recent years and protests he and his followers have taken part in.

There was uproar last year when he announced he planned to march 500 coffins through the town of Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire, a community which gained a reputation for regularly honouring British service-personnel killed in Afghanistan.
He wanted to highlight the ‘tens of thousands’ of Muslims who have died in the conflict in Afghanistan, but later called off his plans for the march after officials indicated they would not give permission for it to go ahead.
Mr Choudary said the decision to ban him permanently from France was an “outrage” as he had not broken any law.
He said: “The actions of the French authorities today will only entrench Muslims more in their belief that sovereignty must belong to God alone and any challenge against this will be resisted and rejected.”
While Mr Choudary’s followers were allowed to continue their journey to Paris, he was placed back on a ferry to Dover.
His passport was confiscated and handed to the ferry’s skipper to give to the UK authorities on his arrival back in Dover.
The cleric has told Sky News he plans another protest against the banning of the Burka by the French on Monday, but because of the new ban on him entering France, the protest will take place outside the French embassy in London instead.

Chirac to go on trial, maybe

March 7, 2011
 paybacks a bitch

Former French President Chirac to stand trial, maybe

That is, if the whole case isn’t derailed by a last-minute protest by another defendant.  If the trial goes ahead as planned, Chirac, 78, faces a month in court on charges that he masterminded a scheme to have Paris City Hall pay for work that benefited his political party when he was mayor — before he became president in 1995.  A prison term is seen as highly unlikely, but in principle if convicted, Chirac could be jailed for up to 10 years and fined euro150,000 ($210,000).  via faustasblog.com
