Palestine Against Trees?

February 9, 2011

Palestine on an institutional level is more interested in burning people and the land of Israel down then actually saving it:
Fatah wasn’t upset about taking the donation – only that it had been publicized. I wrote that I was upset that the Jewish National Fund was donating trees to the ‘Palestinians’ at all.  Uri Davis, a Jew who is a member of the ‘Palestine National Council’ (we have all types here), has now criticized the ‘Palestinian Authority’ for accepting the trees. He’s now calling Rawabi a ‘Zionist project.’
If building homes for Jews is an atrocity like Obama and his ass hat’s in Washington think, imagine what a tree is perceived to do for a Jew:
Salaam, Came across something interesting. Was talking to someone and they said that the Jews are planting a certain type of tree all over Israel.  It reminded me of this Hadith:  “The Day of Judgement will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews

(killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The

stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdullah, there is a Jew behind me,

come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, (a certain kind of

tree) would not do that because it is one of the trees of the

Jews.” (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).

Makes one wonder how Abu Mazen could have made the argument for global warming at the U.N. and the rest of us did not call him out on his bullshit.  I notice Al Gore was quiet on this issue

Don’t donate money to fight Israel’s forest fires?

December 5, 2010

Jeffrey Goldberg has been spending too much time listening to the lunatic ravings of his co-blogger Andrew Sullivan. He’s urging you not to donate money to help rebuild from the ravages of the forest fire in Israel (Hat Tip: Shy Guy via Hot Air).

Inevitably, the Jewish National Fund, which, among other things, plants forests in Israel, is asking for donations from Americans for its “Forest Fire Emergency Campaign,” in response to the massive fire spreading across the Carmel mountains. But I’m not giving.
Israel’s per capita GDP is nearly $30,000. Israel is a rich country. The fact that it doesn’t possess adequate firefighting equipment is its own fault. The fact that the leadership of its fire service is incompetent is its own fault (you can read more about that here). At some point, the good-hearted Diaspora Jews who still think of Israel as a charity case are going to have to tell their cousins to learn to fully-fund basic services like firefighting if they want to be thought of as citizens of an advanced country.
There are a great many good causes in Israel that deserve help, and a great many causes here in America that deserve our help. It seems to me, however, that Israel’s national fire service should be funded by Israel’s government, not by the people of Boca Raton, Potomac and the Upper West Side.

By Goldberg’s logic, I suppose Israel should not have sent any equipment to help out with Hurricane Katrina. For that matter, neither should anyone else outside New Orleans have helped. After all, it was well-known that the levees around New Orleans were at a risk of flooding. New Orleans is a rich city, and America is a rich country. The City of New Orleans should have dealt with the problem, and if it didn’t, its residents should have paid the ultimate price.
The same goes for the specialized equipment Israel sent to help after the earthquake in Turkey. They should be prepared for earthquakes – they’re relatively frequent occurrences there. The same for tsunamis in Indonesia and Thailand earthquakes in Haiti (okay, they really are poor) and embassy bombings around the world.
In fact, why don’t we just become isolationists altogether? You know – ignore everyone outside our own neighborhood/city/country. Ridiculous….
If this had been any country other than Israel, would Goldberg (or anyone else) even have suggested it?

the entire Atlantic publication is full of vile hate. Goldberg is just another strawman

NIF marriage to Mondoweiss

June 29, 2010
Nazi cartoon, circa 1938–An octopus with a Star of David over its head has its tentacles encompass the world.[i]

Nazi, Soviet, and, more recently, Arab anti-Semitic caricatures often portray Jews as spiders, cockroaches, and Octopuses – dehumanizing Jews by turning them into animals that are destructive, inhuman and evil. The cartoon below, by the notorious anti-Zionist cartoonist, Carlos Latuff, was posted on the “progressive” Jewish anti-Zionist blog, Mondoweiss recently[ii] – by a frequent Mondoweiss blogger named Seham[iii] – in reference to the Gaza flotilla incident.

This ugly caricature of the Jewish state manages to both employ Nazi-like anti-Semitic imagery of a beastly and monstrous Jewish collective while simultaneously asserting that the Jewish state has become the new Nazi Germany. (Note the Jewish Magen David on the Israeli flag is morphed into a swastika) Such insidious depictions of Israel and Israelis are mostly seen on extremist websites, and is a phenomenon known as Holocaust inversion[iv].
