Will Obama’s Betrayal of Britain Cause a Second Falklands War?

June 24, 2011

Obama’s so called Neutrality invigorated socialists like Hugo Chavez to fight on Argentina’s side, but was it neutral or did Obama take their side? If there were a second Falklands war then our allies would not have the resources to fight our war in Afghanistan. These are not tiny Islands with penguins. This is one of the largest oil sources in the world. 60 billion barrels of oil is worth the oil of two large oil states (three times as much as the oil reserves of the United States)and Obama just wants to hand it over to OPEC? Venezuela and Argentina are in trouble financially because of their management irresponsibility and Obama just put a giant bulls-eye on the Falklands while he berates another friend.

In her meeting with left wing Argentinian President Christina Kirchner, Hillary Clinton could have quietly pressed her to back down. Instead Clinton endorsed a call for talks in order to resolve the status of the Falkland Islands. Which actually moved the United States away from supporting neutrality, and toward supporting the Argentinian position.

If Chavez and his allies get their hands on the Falklands oil, it will increase his leverage and power base. It will also inevitably raise the price of oil, which will further damage the US economy. That money will then be used to fuel terror in Columbia and raise up more Marxist regimes in Latin America. It will of course also be used to expand the Islamic-Marxist Red-Green alliance with countries such as Iran.

Vernet had been ceded Soledad Island (East Falkland) for commercial exploitation as payment for a debt the Buenos Aires Government owed him. Aside from Vernet’s worker, among which Argentinians were a minority, a few gauchos and adventurers lived in the Falklands.

Vernet’s daughter was the only person born in the Falklands during that precarious settlement. “Precarious” since there was no town hall, no churches, nor any civil society of any type. Aside from the couple of years of the Frenchman’s enterprise, there was nothing more than a pirate encampment.

In 1833 the Falklands had some 20 inhabitants of various nationalities. All were expelled by the British. Interestingly, shortly after, dictator Juan Manuel de Rosas offered more than once to cede the islands to the United Kingdom to pay off a debt Buenos Aires owed British banking institutions. However, London ignored the Argentinian claim or offer.

lol Argentina asks Ahmadinejad to extradite Defense Minister, other bombing suspects

September 26, 2010

…and now a Pigs can Fly Moment…
Argentinian President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner has had her picture taken with just about every terror leader in the world except for one: Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. There’s a reason for that: Argentina still has a score to be settled with Iran over two bombings in Buenos Aires in the 1990’s. In her address to the United Nations General Assembly on Friday, Kirchner called for Iran to extradite the suspects in the bombing to an agreed upon third country for trial.

Argentina has asked Iran to sign accord allowing the trial in of suspects involved in the 1994 bombing of the Argentine Jewish Mutual Association (AMIA) in Buenos Aires to take place in an agreed upon third country in a speech delivered by Argentinian President Cristina Kirchner to the UN General Assembly on Friday, AFP reported.
Kirchner asked Iran to “agree in a joint accord on a third country where fair trials could be held,” according to AFP.

Argentinian prosecutors have long alleged that Teheran planned and ordered the 1994 bombing that killed 85 civilians.
Teheran has so far turned down Argentinian requests that it extradite Iranians suspected of involvement in the terror attack.

Kirchner also reaffirmed Argentinian claims to the Falkland Islands during her speech to the General Assembly and criticized the UK’s conduct regarding the islands since the 1982 war between the two countries.

Good luck with that. I’d say that she has a better chance of recovering the Falklands than of getting those Iranians to trial, especially since one of them is Ahmadinejad’s Defense Minister, Ahmad Vahidi. But maybe some of her radical friends would be willing to help. Heh.

She reminds me of the leadership in America.  It should be noted that the reason she needs to be aggressive and demand the Falklands is because since she has taken over the country is completely unsustainable socialism and the only way for Argentina to not hit a brick wall with their economy would be to expand and take over more resource reserves.  Kirchner has enabled the most radical murderous element with her greed for greater power of the state.  It isn’t the intentions of the leaders in socialism that cause statist military growth, it is their ignorance.  Kirchner might not have the testosterone of a real strong man, but Argentina’s actions under her supervision will lead to only one outcome: aggression.  Angentina’s leadership is completely unaware of repercussions of their actions.

Politician Wife looking like a Pig tells husband to eat Pork

February 2, 2010

Buenos Dias! OINK! OINK! OINK!

Argentina‘s president recommended pork as an alternative to Viagra Wednesday, saying she spent a satisfying weekend with her husband after eating barbecued pork.
“I’ve just been told something I didn’t know; that eating pork improves your sex life … I’d say it’s a lot nicer to eat a bit of grilled pork than take Viagra,” President Cristina Fernandez said to leaders of the pig farming industry.
She said she recently ate pork and “things went very well that weekend, so it could well be true.”

Argentines are the world’s biggest per capita consumers of beef, but the government has sought to promote pork as an alternative in recent years due to rising steak prices and as a way to diversify the meat industry.
“Trying it doesn’t cost anything, so let’s give it a go,” Fernandez said in the televised speech.
