#KatherineRussell, Widow of Marathon Bomber #TamerlanTsarnaev, Converted to Islam, Wore Hijab, Was ‘Brainwashed’ by Extremist Husband

April 22, 2013

Such an ultimate bummer that this young lady got mixed up with that jihadi loser scum.
Katherine Russell photo 3d77f4cd-f4ab-4fc7-ae24-0edc5a580917_zps95acadc7.jpgAt London’s Daily Mail, “EXCLUSIVE – How doctor’s daughter became the Muslim convert widow of Boston bomber: Terrorist husband ‘brainwashed’ her and she gave up her dreams of college to have his baby at 21“:

None who knew her as a child could have dreamed that this would be the face she would one day present to the world, nor that her life and those of so many Bostonians would be so violently caught up with two brothers from Chechnya and a cause as unclear as it was brutal.
As a girl growing up in Rhode Island Katherine was known to her friends as Katie. One school friend who asked not to be named recalled: ‘I saw her like a few months ago and she was just totally transformed. She was not the same person at all.’

I was experiencing this as it happened. Usually I’m off by a few minutes… this was totally surreal.

#ChrisMatthews: Did #Boston Bombing Have Anything To Do With Tax Day? | #BostonMarathon #MSNBC #MSLGBT

April 15, 2013

After saying shortly into his Hardball program, “Normally domestic terrorists, people, tend to be on the far right,” Matthews later asked his guests if Tax Day had something to do with the event since it doesn’t mean “a whole lot to the Arab world or Islamic world or the, certainly not to al Qaeda” (video follows with transcript):

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Well, Michael, Tax Day today. That came up. You know, I was thinking of all the iconic events, or being told about them today. Of course, I knew it was Tax Day because I got them in. But of course, it’s Patriots Day. It’s also the Boston Marathon. And would you as an expert be thinking domestic at this point? I don’t think Tax Day means a whole lot to the Arab world or Islamic world or the, certainly not to al Qaeda in terms of their world. It doesn’t have any iconic significance.

CLINT VAN ZANDT, FORMER FBI PROFILER: At this point, as an investigator, you don’t want to shut down any options, but based upon the type of explosive that appears, the size of the explosive, the way it was done, this is well within the capability of somebody with too much time in front of the internet who was looking up bombs and who hates government, who hates America. For whatever his or her reasons for doing something like this, this is well within the realm of one person.

#CNN Analyst: ‘Right-Wing Extremists’ Could Be Behind #BostonMarathon Bombing

April 15, 2013

—

Less than two hours after the horrific bombing at the Boston Marathon, CNN national security analyst Peter Bergen was already speculating that “right-wing extremists” could be behind the attack. He told CNN anchor Jake Tapper:

I’m reminded of Oklahoma City, which was a bombing, which was initially treated as a gas explosion. First reports are often erroneous.

Then Bergen went on to offer up this “first” report:

Once the device — if it a device — is found; what kind of explosives were used. So for instance, if it was hydrogen peroxide, this is a signature of al Qaeda. If it was more conventional explosives, which are much harder to get hold of now — that might be some other kind of right-wing extremist. … We’ve also seen, for instance, right-wing groups trying to attack the Martin Luther King parade in Oregon in 2010.

So Bergen starts off with comparing what happened at the Boston Marathon to Oklahoma City and then suggest right-wing extremism, even though — like the rest of us — he knows nothing.

“The Most Trusted Name In News.”

NOTE: There has been speculation on Twitter that CNN’s Wolf Blitzer said something similar. I have found nothing that indicates that is true.

Three months ago, the Hussein Obama administration ended post-9/11 restrictions on Saudis entering the US. Less than three weeks ago, ‘our friends the Saudis’ were added to the US trusted traveler list. That didn’t take long did it?
I understand this story has now disappeared down the memory hole at the New York Post. So here’s a screen cap of the headline.<

The Atlantic Online has posted 16 images from the aftermath of the Boston Marathon terror attack. One of them, which you have to click on separately, clearly shows a man who has lost at least one leg and maybe both (Hat Tips: Lance K and Memeorandum).

Here’s one of the pictures.

ABC News just interviewed a doctor on the scene who said he saw one person with both legs blown off.

They are reporting at least 86 people hospitalized in Boston.
